It's getting closer to curling season!

1. We will have our first general meeting of the season on Wednesday, October 9th at 6:30.
All are welcome/encouraged to attend.

2. The Highlander Curling Club in St. Andrews is hosting the 55+ games this year, Oct. 16-19.
Registration has closed but they do have openings for one 55+ women's team and
a 65+ mixed team, due to withdrawals. They would really like to fill these two spots.
If you have an interested team contact Lorne Deering at

3. A thank you goes out to Barry Randle of Stone Soup Cafe and Keith Laidig for taking care of the tree precariously overhanging the roof of our building after Dorian.

Two teams participated in a junior bonspiel this Saturday at the Bluenose club in New Glasgow. There were 8 teams playing 3 games each. Team 'Baillie" (Sydney Baillie, Rachael VanDeen., Ryan Murphay, Zachary MacInnis) won one game and tied one. Team Dunnwald (Jake Dunnwald, Aaron Macinnis, Caiden MacDonald, Evan Surrett) won 2 games.
Team Dunnwald came 3rd over all and team Baillie placed 5th. Aaron MacInnis placed first in the skills competition for ages 12 and under with Rachael VanDeen winning the over 12 division.
We are so proud of our great kids and the parents who were there Saturday and all year to support them.
